Good Health Family Medicine has transitioned to Input Health for our online booking/patient portal. We believe this system will be advantageous to the patients. As we move forward, we will be using more features such as direct secure messaging of notes, requisitions, and any messages the doctor would like to pass on to you (these previously would have come as a phone call from our staff). We aim to use this system to communicate more information to yourself, to cut down on the times you would need to wait on hold to talk to a staff member. This should help cut down on the wait times on the phone for our office.
For example:
You may receive a message asking you to book an appointment for follow up on results (which can be done online or by calling).
If you are waiting for a specialist appointment, you may receive a message with the date, time and details of the appointment.
If there is a result that your doctor would like to pass on to you, they may send you a message directly.
If there is a more complicated situation, you may receive a message to call the office.
You may receive a message before your appointment asking you to fill out a questionnaire which is related to your visit.
You will receive messages with attached items such as notes or requisitions from your appointment
IMPORTANT!! Some messages will ask for a reply, others will not allow for replies. If we ask you to reply in the email, PLEASE REPLY ASAP. This is a very important part to our electronic communication agreement. Thank you!
URGENT messages will still be phoned to you (although you may get an electronic message as well to try to contact you sooner). In the future we will also use this system for virtual visit.
This is a more secure system versus regular email. Please ensure you check your email for any questionnaires or messages from our clinic. (The sender will be “Good Health Family Medicine” and the email is noreply@inputhealth.com, please ensure these are not going to your junk folder or spam filter).
